What is a Relaxed Performance?
Relaxed performances are primarily designed to welcome those people who would like to see a show in a less formal atmosphere. including (but not limited to) those who have an autism spectrum condition, people with a learning disability, and very young children. Elements of the performance are adapted to reduce anxiety or stress.
What can I expect?
At a Relaxed Performance you can:
- Go in and out of the auditorium as needed.-
- Making noise or moving will not be discouraged.
- Access the auditorium earlier than usual.
You may also notice:
- House lights will be left on.
- Flashing lights may be reduced.
- Loud noises or explosions will be reduced.
- The actors will introduce themselves.
- There will be a chill out area for anyone who may become overwhelmed during the performance.
