Edinburgh Playhouse
We've partnered with Sing in the City who are an Edinburgh institution with over 14 choirs across the Lothians & Fife with hundreds of fantastic members. Sing in the City is led by Kirsty Baird & Anette Hanley who have worked professionally in music as singers, musicians and song writers across Scotland. We are proud to be partnering with such a renowned singing group and can’t wait to open our doors to the singing community.

For the Autumn term, the choir will be held in our Boards Bar every week 1400-1600 from Tuesday 10th September – 10th December (13 weeks - no session on 15th October). Full term dates below:
September: 10th, 17th, 24th
October: 1st, 8th, 22nd, 29th
November: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
December: 3rd, 10th
There will be 13 sessions and the total fee for this block is £104.00. (Equivalent to £8 per session).
Please note, there is not wheelchair access and there is no access to a lift. This choir is a Creative Learning event. Tickets for Creative Learning events are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Edinburgh Playhouse
Although designed as a variety theatre, the Edinburgh Playhouse opened in 1929 as Scotland’s second largest cinema. It was hugely successful and remained so until the downturn in cinema attendance in the early 70s. When it closed in November 1973, the building was at risk of demolition, but following several years of public ‘save the Playhouse’ campaigns it was eventually saved. It reopened in 1980 as the fully functional theatre it was always intended to be. Since then, it has hosted some of the world's biggest music and stand-up comedy acts including, Elton John, The Who, Nick Cave, Kevin Bridges and Tim Minchin and international hit musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, We Will Rock You, Wicked, Matilda and Disney’s The Lion King.
