Harold Pinter Theatre
Showing at the Harold Pinter Theatre for nine weeks only, Prima Facie has already received rave reviews and awards following its Australian premiere.
Suzie Miller’s Prima Facie tells the story of Tessa, a young and brilliant barrister. She has worked her way up from working class origins to be at the top of her game; prosecuting; cross examining and winning. An unexpected event forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge.
Every winner might be the one who loses the next day.-
Tessa is played by Jodie Comer, in her West End debut after huge on-screen performances such as Free Guy, The Last Duel and Killing Eve. A solo actor tour de force directed by Justin Martin at the Harold Pinter Theatre, Prima Facie takes us to the heart of where emotion and experience collide within the rules of the game.
A limited number of standing tickets will be available at the box office on the day of performance from 10am.
Please note due to the structure of the play it is not possible to admit latecomers and there will be no readmittance allowed during the performance.
Harold Pinter Theatre
The Harold Pinter Theatre opened in 1881 as the Royal Comedy Theatre and staged hugely successful shows, such as The Rocky Horror Show’s West End debut. The name changed in 2011 to The Harold Pinter Theatre in honour of Pinter’s work for the Comedy Theatre.
The theatre recently produced Pinter at the Pinter, a series of one-act plays in celebration of Pinter himself.
