Now a top commentator with a successful TV and film career alongside motivational speaking work, Martin still relishes his playing career during the early years of the game, when internationals ran out alongside the club stalwarts and legends rubbed shoulders with the well-meaning incompetent.
The audience can expect stories with Lawrence, Matt and Jason about everything from international games to local teams. Hear about legends emerging from coal mines, farms, police stations, classrooms and universities. Reminiscing about matches played on 6” of grass, mud in the winter and hard pan in the autumn and spring months. Expect insights into riotous end of season tours and half cooked lasagne or chilli con carne after the game washed down with beer, then the long, meandering journey home.

One of the oldest surviving theatres designed by iconic architect Frank Matcham, Richmond Theatre has sat in the heart of the local community since 1899.
The beautiful Grade II-listed venue presents a wide range of quality shows, from pre- and post-West End Drama to record-breaking musicals, opera, dance and family entertainment.
The theatre is also a popular filming location, having been used for film and TV including Finding Neverland, Bugsy Malone, Killing Eve and Ted Lasso.
