This one man play written and performed by Jeff Rozelaar is divided into two 35 minute acts with an interval. The play traces Disraeli's life from his birth to his death. The link with Buckinghamshire is of great relevance. He stood unsuccessfully for High Wycombe, but eventually became MP for the County. He purchased Hughenden Manor, now run by the National Trust, which attracts many thousands of visitors from all over the country.

The play examines his Jewish background, his education and his "gatecrashing" of the " British Establishment” as a young playwright , man of fashion, raconteur and world traveller, and depicts his rise " to the top of the greasypole" when he became Prime Minister. The narrative then deals with the titanic clash with William Gladstone, Leader of the Liberal party, which absorbed British politics for two decades. His close relationship with Queen Victoria also comes under scrutiny.

Although the play is serious and of interest to people fascinated by History and Politics it does have moments of humour , even comedy.

Previous audiences have found it not only instructive but entertaining. One member of one such audience was one of the country’s leading historians, Andrew Roberts, who wrote the following "It really was excellently done."
