As a Community Chorus, it’s not necessary to audition! We welcome adults of all ages and abilities, so whether you’re new to singing, or have done so for years, we’d love to welcome you to our friendly up beat sessions.

Monthly Subscription
Our membership is paid through a monthly subscription through this page on The Palace & Opera House website and is £19.50 per month. Simply select the month(s) you’d like to pay for and add them to your basket.

By signing up to The Palace & Opera House Community Chorus, you are supporting our Creative Learning programme to deliver amazing programmes in our communities as well as having a wonderful time developing your singing skills. Creative Learning is a not for profit department and payment once made is non-refundable unless sessions are ever cancelled by our team.
This session is for adults only, if you have a young person and would like to find out what other participatory programmes we offer, please do get in touch with our Creative Learning team.
Accessing our spaces where Chorus takes place can be done by a number of stairs. If you have access needs including limited mobility please get in touch with Creative Learning via the methods above to discuss how we can support you with these sessions.

The Palace Theatre of Varieties opened on Whit Monday 1891 and cost its owners the then colossal sum of £40,500. In the late 1970’s the Palace Theatre underwent a major refurbishment and re-opened in 1981 with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar and has since then retained its position as the premier provincial touring venue.
