Song for Wales is a cornerstone of the music industry in Wales and S4C’s largest interactive event broadcast. It’s due to the Song for Wales competition that we have some of our country’s most famous songs and there will be a performance during the show of one of those most iconic songs.
Musician Osian Huw Williams, lead singer of the Candelas and former co-winner of the award will chair the jury, mentor the competitors and present the brand new Cân i Gymru trophy to the winner.
The second and third prizes are the highest in the history of the competition. The composer of the winning song will also claim a prize of £5,000 and a performance contract, with the second prize winner winning £3,000 and the third prize winner winning £2,000.
Trystan Ellis-Morris and Elin Fflur will return to present the show live from the Arena’s stage, with artist and DJ’s before broadcasting live on S4C from 8 until late.
The tickets are free and available through the Arena’s website and ticket office.
Song for Wales is part of Gŵyl Croeso Abertawe 2024.
This is a general admission event, with no reserved seating.
