Bristol Hippodrome
With numerous masterclasses sprinkled throughout the programme, write and create your own performance piece with our creative learning team before having it performed, script in hand, to a invited audience in a local space!
Operated bi-weekly, you will be inspired by a tour of the historic building of the Bristol Hippodrome, creating a 10-15 minute script over the course of 12 classes. Once you have bought into the course you will be subscribed to all 12 classes. Have local directors, actors and writers come into the room to help you create through workshop style exercises. This programme is primarily aimed at those wanting to flex their writing skills or for those who are at the start of their playwriting journey. Those who have previous experience writing plays are more than welcome.

Full payment of £280.00 for the project can be made now (with discount), or you can make monthly instalments* of £50.00 per month (Feb '24 – July ’24).
Project dates: 10th of Feb, 24th of Feb, 9th of March, 23rd of March, 6th of April, 20th of April, 4th of May, 18th of May, 1st of June, 15th of June, 29th of June, 13th of July (Performance week of July 22nd).
Payment includes all performance related costs including but not limited to venue hire, practitioner fees etc.
*If choosing to pay in monthly instalments, the Creative Learning team will share payment information each month. If payment is not received, the participant will no longer be a part of the project and attendance will need to cease.

Bristol Hippodrome
The Bristol Hippodrome, the city’s very own West End theatre, opened its doors on 16 December 1912 when the curtain rose for the first time on what was generally agreed to be Oswald Stoll’s most magnificent provincial theatre.
It is a superb example of the grand architecture of the late Victorian era and is one of the masterpieces of design by Frank Matcham, the most eminent theatre architect of his time.
Towards the beginning of the century, the theatre staged a variety of acts as a Music Hall. Since then, and due to the fact that it has one of the largest theatre stages in Britain, The Bristol Hippodrome has established itself on the touring circuit for all major musical productions, thus becoming known as Bristol’s West End Theatre.
