‘A Montage of Monet’ is an “engaging, thoughtful, and classy” one-man show about the life of Claude Monet, the French Impressionist painter. The show explores Monet's inner thoughts, his personal life, loves, and the Impressionist movement. We become privy to his views of his own work, as well as his contemporaries, like Van Gogh and Renoir.
Through innovative use of projections throughout, no prior knowledge of Monet or the Impressionist movement is needed to enjoy this show. As Monet talks about particular people or artwork, images pop up on the canvas behind him, which is suspended high on an easel.
