Opera House Manchester
Jenna Rink is an adorably awkward 13 year-old girl who wishes she could skip over the misery of High School. When her birthday wish comes true, Jenna magically wakes up as an adult to find herself “thirty, flirty and thriving” as the editor of a fashion magazine with a seemingly perfect life. But as she gradually unravels the mystery of what kind of person she has become, she goes on a journey to work out what — and who — really matters.
Don’t miss this hilarious and inspiring new musical about the choices we make, the friends we choose and the beauty of never losing your sparkle. The story you love — now with incredible original songs — 13 Going On 30 – The Musical is a feel-great reminder that being yourself never gets old.
Lucie Jones (Waitress, Les Misérables, Wicked) plays the lead role of Jenna Rink, with further casting to be announced.
Opera House Manchester
Originally The New Theatre, it opened on Boxing Day, 1912. It went through several iterations, being renamed once before becoming the Opera House in 1920. It's also been used for different functions; as a cinema in WW2, then a bingo hall before reopening as a theatre again in 1984. Since, it has hosted magnificent shows like Barnum and Phantom of the Opera.
