The spectacular new foyer space at the Theatre Royal including sparkling new box office, lift access to all levels and modern bar facilities is now open. On a fine day we also invite you to enjoy the panoramic city views offered by our fantastic new rooftop terrace.

We are delighted with the new space, and the whole building is open daily to everyone to enjoy and explore, however if you are looking to hold an event or function at the Theatre Royal then we have private space available for you. The four levels each have their own bar so a variety of events from simple drinks parties to pre-show cocktails and canapés can be arranged.

Take the lift up to the 4th floor and into our lovely open and bright balcony foyer space with bar. A versatile space, it can be used theatre style for events or seated for meals or buffets. Direct access to the terrace, and complete with widescreen television for presentations or films.

From the balcony foyer, easily step out onto our beautiful open air roof terrace with stunning views down Hope Street and across the Glasgow skyline. On a clear day (and they do happen in Glasgow!) see as far as Eaglesham to the south and the Campsies to the north. A perfect spot for a special occasion, why not compliment the view with a BBQ?

Where old meets new. The original stone staircase to the Dress Circle takes you past an exhibition of Scottish Opera productions and theatre legends, up to an open and light space with its own small kitchen and toilets. Great for Corporate days out, training sessions and networking.

Fantastic space for art exhibitions and functions with double height ceilings and wonderful acoustics. The all-round windows make for a tremendously light and calming space.

A cosy little private room, ideal for the smaller function or relaxed meeting.
