Playhouse Theatre Visual Story

Our Visual Story is a visual resource to help prepare visitors for a new experience and to help them become familiar with new surroundings and what to expect during their time at the venue. Venue Access Information

There are 3 steps in the Foyer (accessed via the Main Doors) up to the Stalls level and accessible toilet - a ramp is available.

If you are a wheelchair user your carer/companion will be required to move your wheelchair up and down the ramps provided in the venue.

The Box Office has a separate entrance to the right of the main doors.

There are 28 steps to the Dress Circle and 82 steps to the Upper Circle.

All Staircases have handrails.

The theatre opens 90 minutes before the performance start time.

The auditorium opens approximately 30 mins before the performance start time.

The theatre can accommodate two non-transferable wheelchairs per performance.

The wheelchair spaces are located in Row G and Row J of the Stalls. Please ask for the Access Host upon your arrival if you require assistance.

The theatre can accommodate two transferable wheelchairs per performance.

There are Bars across all four levels of the theatre: Foyer, Basement, Dress Circle and Upper Circle.

The theatre has a Sennheiser MobileConnect sound amplification system in place. Please ask a member of staff upon arrival for more information.

Guide dogs are permitted in the auditorium at the end of a row in the Stalls. Staff are happy to dog sit during the performance if required. Please let us know in advance if you require this service by calling the Box Office team on 0207 925 7734.
